On 7 December 2023, the work “Exploring the Imaginaries of Feminist Activism on Instagram” was presented at the CFS (Center for Feminist Social Studies) seminar, Örebro University, Sweden. This was an opportunity to bring together different empirical studies conducted by Sofia P. Caldeira, and to receive feedback from colleagues.

Sofia P. Caldeira presented a paper entitled “Click here for feminism! Exploring tensions on Instagram feminisms self-promotion practices” at the international conference Gendered Cultures Platform Economies 2023, which took place in Lisbon, between 20 and 21 of November.

Sofia P. Caldeira joined the roundtable “Researching Activisms in the Portuguese Context” alongside Rosa Cabecinhas (Migra Media Acts), Carla Malafaia (JustFutures), and Ricardo Campos (ArtCitizenship).

As part of the MSCA project, Sofia P. Caldeira co-organised the international conference Contested Visibilities: Everyday politics and online imaginaries of the body.

Sofia P. Caldeira shared the on-going results of her MSCA research at the international conference IAMCR 2023, which took place in Lyon, France, between 9 and 13 of July.
